Got Journalism Skills? We Want You!
Eureka Free Press is seeking passionate journalists to uncover the untold stories.
Eureka Free Press, Australia’s newest conservative/libertarian news platform, is on a mission to bring underreported and overlooked stories to light.
We’re looking for skilled journalists and experienced citizen journalists who are eager to write original news stories that challenge mainstream narratives and champion pro-freedom, conservative, and libertarian causes.
If you have a knack for uncovering hidden truths and exposing corruption, we want to hear from you!
For those interested in this opportunity, please read this entire email and then click the ‘Express your interest’ button at the bottom.
What We’re Looking For:
Trained journalists or experienced citizen journalists with a strong background in news writing.
A commitment to producing fact-based, unbiased news stories that either aren’t covered by the mainstream media or offer a fresh perspective on existing stories.
A passion for promoting conservative, libertarian, and pro-freedom values through investigative journalism.
How to Apply:
Submit an expression of interest, including:
Your Curriculum Vitae that outlines your experience and/or training as a journalist or citizen journalist.
A letter explaining why you’re the perfect fit for Eureka Free Press.
At least three (3) examples of your writing, preferably news articles.
Read this entire email and then click the ‘Express your interest’ button at the bottom.
The Process:
Upon receipt of your expression of interest, our editorial team will carefully review your application. Successful applicants will be invited to submit news stories for publication in Eureka Free Press, subject to the following conditions:
Articles must be news stories, not opinion pieces.
Stories should uncover underreported events or offer a unique angle on the news reported in the mainstream media.
Content must align with our pro-freedom, libertarian, and conservative ethos.
All submissions will be vetted by our editor for defamatory and inaccurate content.
Articles will either be approved, edited/rewritten, or rejected at the editor’s discretion.
Writers may choose to include a by-line or remain anonymous (with their identity known only to the editor).
Writers who are paid annual subscribers to Eureka Free Press will be preferred over those who aren’t. This shows us that you’re committed to the cause.
Financial compensation:
Financial compensation for published articles will be negotiated with our editor.
As Eureka Free Press is more a labour of love than a money-making venture, the reality is that, for many stories, there may be no compensation (other than your by-line and publication) offered.
Contributions that, in the editor’s opinion, will have a significant impact may be compensated, but ordinarily, reporters should expect no more than $40 to $60 per story. Exceptional, explosive stories may receive higher compensation at the editor’s discretion.
There will always be room for negotiation, but this, in general, will be the rule for financial compensation for stories.
